GPSR listing guide

Use this page to organize the core information Article 19 of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 addresses for products offered online to consumers in the EU. It is a preparation checklist, not a compliance decision.

The four information groups

01

Product identification

Use a clear product picture and enough information to identify the product, including its type and another product identifier where applicable.

02

Manufacturer details

Organize the manufacturer’s name or trade name, postal address and electronic address.

03

EU responsible person

When the manufacturer is not established in the EU, organize the name, postal address and electronic address of the EU-based responsible person.

04

Warnings and safety information

Identify warnings or safety information that should accompany the offer and check the language needed for each market.

Before you mark a listing ready

  1. Match the record to the exact product.Variants should not silently inherit an identifier or warning that does not apply to them.
  2. Use a source you can review again.Keep the manufacturer or supplier page, document or correspondence used to confirm contact details.
  3. Check whether a separate EU contact is needed. The answer depends on where the manufacturer is established and the applicable product rules.
  4. Review product-specific requirements.Toys, electrical products, cosmetics, food-contact materials and other categories can require more than this four-part listing check.
  5. Check the marketplace’s current workflow.Platforms decide where and how sellers submit information, and those interfaces can change.

What this checklist does not prove

A complete listing record does not certify that the product is safe, that technical documentation is complete, or that a marketplace or authority will accept it. EU Listing Check only organizes the information you enter and highlights missing answers.
